A Brooklyn girl by birth, blonde beauty Karen Sillas splits her time between Los Angeles and New York, performing frequently on stage, in independent films, and on television. A graduate of the acting conservatory at SUNY Purchase, the actress may be best known for her regular role as Det. Rose “Phil” Phillips in the TV series Under Suspicion from 1994-1995, as Lt. Kathyrn Marcus in the mini-series The Beast (1996), and in Wanted as Mariah Bellchek in 2005. Not one to deny fans with just half-hour or hour increments, the divine dish elongated her screen time in the TV movies Night Sins (1997) as Dr. Hanna Garrison, with Valerie Bertinelli and Harry Hamlin; the lead role of Alyson Haywood in Lies He Told(1997) with Gary Cole; another lead in As Time Runs Out (1999) with Stephen Collins, as Janet Wise; and Anna in the segment titled “The Other Side” in the TV movie On the Edge, a compendium of three sci-fi shorts directed by women; Mary Stuart Masterson was Karen’s director, and she co-starred with Anthony LaPaglia and Bruce Davison. On the big screen, she’s known as Jackie Marsh in What Happened Was… (1994), written by, directed by, and co-starring Tom Noonan, and the winner of Best Feature Film at the Chicago International Film Festival, the Grand Jury Prize for Dramatic at the Sundance Film Festival, and a Film Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Female Lead for Karen herself. She’s also famous for her role as Renee in Female Perversions (1996) with Tilda Swinton and Amy Madigan, her bare breasts getting a lot of attention from Tilda; and for the part of Joan in Sour Grapes (1998), where she gets busy with a guy and gives us a quick boob glimpse.
